Welcome to the Futures Café located in Building 100 next to Student Services.

Futures Café is open during the regular school year on Tuesdays through most Fridays from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm.  We are closed on Mondays.  Additionally, we are closed for Citrus County School District recognized holidays and during summer break.

Please join us in our newly remodeled Café.

Initially built in 1979, the old Café was clean and functional but dated with dark wood throughout and spaceship-shaped light fixtures. The serving line layout was inefficient, with Culinary Arts students having to work in a limited space and constantly accessing the main kitchen to keep food on the hot line. The checkout line backed up frequently, as it blended into the serving line to cause traffic jams and delays.

With the renovation, there’s better use of space to improve service and productivity.  Newly installed hot and cold boxes allow students to stock additional food, minimizing their time away from the serving line. Separate drink, coffee and condiment stations reduce the time customers spend in line. 

The Café now has a contemporary, industrial feel, accenting light and functionality. The WTC colors of green and blue contrast nicely with the sleek white subway tiles and graceful metal accents. A high-top bar with stools, soft seating at the full-length windows and traditional tables and chairs provide comfortable spots for everyone.
